Elaine Berg is the owner of Golden Rule Dog Training which she started in 2004.  She has been working with dogs for more than 30 years and decided to turn her passion into a business by helping dogs stay in their homes by being better behaved and better understood.

Elaine is a proud Associate Certified Dog Behavior Consultant of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.  This level of expertise requires proof of hands-on training, and a written exam given by top veterinary behaviorists, as well as ongoing education requirements to keep this certification.  Elaine is the only ACDBC in the Front Range area. 

Elaine is also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and fulfills the APDT's mission of advocating gentle, 'dog-friendly' methods in her training. She keeps her skills up-to-date by attending seminars and workshops taught by international experts. She has been an expert witness in Court regarding dog behavior and has taught seminars on reading Canine Body Language.

Elaine is also pleased to offer customized, in-home training.  Her out-of-the-box thinking using positive, dog-friendly methods based on science is what sets her apart from other trainers.  She is experienced in working with all ages and breeds of dogs.

Outside of work, Elaine shares her home with her two Doberman Pinschers and a very patient husband.  They enjoy conformation dog showing, Barn Hunt and travel.  Elaine enjoys cooking and watching the abundant wildlife that wanders through their mountain homeland in Evergreen.
